Filters for welding fumes

During welding processes, large amounts of smoke, fine metal particles and other air pollutants are released, which negatively affect the working environment and the health of employees.

 

Only a properly designed welding fume extraction and filtration system can effectively reduce air pollution and ensure smooth operation of production processes.

 

For effective welding fume filtration, it is necessary to use only filtration devices specially adapted for this process, capable of retaining particles smaller than 1 micron.

  • Downflo® is a downward airflow technology, meaning that inside the Donaldson device (in the filter element section), the air moves from top to bottom, which helps the particles to naturally settle into the collection container. This is especially important when very light, airborne particles need to be deposited.

 

  • Donaldson’s patented Ultra-Web® nanofiber technology is an electrospinning process that produces a continuous fine fiber web made up of continuous filaments with a diameter of 0.2-0.3 microns. This nanofiber web traps even submicron particles, preventing them from penetrating deeper layers of the filter fabric.

 

  • In addition, Donaldson Ultra-Web® filters are made of Flame Retardant fabric, which reduces the risk of sparks.
