Description
ATEX INDUSTRIAL VACUUM CLEANERS FOR EXPLOSIVE ENVIRONMENTS
We offer a wide range of DU-PUY ATEX certified industrial vacuum cleaners designed for safe operation in hazardous environments where explosive dust or gases may be present. These vacuums are designed to eliminate ignition sources – achieved through grounded components, antistatic filtration elements, specially certified motors and protection against overheating and sparks from electrical conductors.
The entire DU-PUY ATEX range is built in compliance with European Union Directive 2014/34/EU requirements. DU-PUY equipment also meets the latest ATEX standards EN17348:2022, which came into force in March 2023.
ATEX industrial vacuum cleaners – models and solutions
Most standard DU-PUY industrial vacuum cleaner models are available in ATEX versions – single-phase, three-phase and pneumatic models, configured according to specific zone classifications and working conditions. Each model can be individually configured – from compact single-phase units for periodic use up to powerful three-phase solutions for uninterrupted operation. ATEX certified centralised vacuum systems are also available – an ideal solution for large production facilities with multiple suction points.

ATEX Zone Classification
ATEX zones are classified based on the presence of flammable gases or dust in the environment. We offer ATEX certified vacuum cleaners for all zone classifications:
- Zone 0 (gases) / Zone 20 (dust) – environments where an explosive atmosphere is present continuously or for long periods
- Zone 1 (gases) / Zone 21 (dust) – work areas where an explosive atmosphere may occasionally form during normal operation
- Zone 2 (gases) / Zone 22 (dust) – environments where an explosive atmosphere forms rarely or briefly
Zone 22 compliance is also ensured according to EN IEC 62784:2018 – a standard regulating mobile vacuum equipment for collecting combustible dust.
